It will be a battle for Valley supremacy.
District 3 runner-up Twin Valley and District 2 champion Valley View will square off Thursday at 5 p.m. at Allentown’s Patriot Park with a trip to the state Class AAA softball semifinals on the line.
Twin Valley blanked Bonner-Prendergast, 5-0, in Tuesday’s opening-round game, the same score by which Valley View disposed of Jersey Shore on Monday.
It is one of three quarterfinal games for Lackawanna League teams on Thursday.
In baseball, District 2 Class AAA champion Abington Heights and Class A winner Old Forge also will be in action.
Coming off a 4-3, 9-inning win against Jersey Shore, Abington Heights will take on District 11 champion Tamaqua at Bloomsburg University at 4 p.m.
Also a 4 p.m. start, Old Forge will journey to Easton to take on District 1 runner-up, Devon Prep, a 4-1 winner over York Catholic.
