It was a season for a couple of old stalwarts and new up-and-comers in the boys Lackawanna Track Conference.

Lakeland continued its tradition by winning a record 26th division title. The Chiefs have won 18 straight dual meets after claiming a third straight Division III championship.

Valley View grabbed a share of the Division I title, its 10th in program history, putting it in exclusive company with Lakeland (26), Abington Heights (15), Dunmore (15) and Nort hPocono (14) with at least 10 titles.

Montrose won its third straight Division IV championship. The Meteors have emerged as the most steady team in that division.

Scranton earned a share of its first division crown since 2012 and its second overall with a win over Valley View on the final day of the regular season. The Knights have won the Icebreaker Relays title and now a division title with a very young team.

And Western Wayne capped an unbeaten season where it shattered school records and  claimed the LTC Division II crown. It’s the first title for the Wildcats since 2004.
