Here’s some interesting news coming from Archbishop Carroll High School:
BREAKING: Strath Haven legend and former NFL LB Dan Connor is the new head coach at Archbishop Carroll. #delcofootball

Connor, of course, was one of the truly great Penn State linebackers in the 2000s, right up there with Paul Posluszny and NaVorro Bowman and Sean Lee. He had been an assistant coach the last few seasons at West Chester.
It will be interesting to see where he can take the Archbishop Carroll program, which I think has been pretty good over the years (correct me if I’m wrong). Interestingly, there were a lot of guys I’ve met while covering Penn State who I thought would certainly be coaches — and very good ones — someday. But Connor never struck me as that type of guy. He was always very laid back.
Clearly, I was wrong though, and he has a bright future in the business.
