When former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton released her list of 123 people who raised at least $100,000 for her campaign, only two Pennsylvanians were on it.
And they’re related.
Unsurprisingly, David L. Cohen, 59, and his wife, Rhonda, were the only state residents on the list. Mr. Cohen serves as Comcast’s executive vice president and is former chief of staff to former Philadelphia Mayor Ed Rendell.
The campaign did not say how much each person on the list raised.
Obviously, Mrs. Clinton has a lot of support in Pennsylvania so having only one big fundraiser from here on her list is really no big deal, but California had 35 people on the list.
Hillblazers is obviously a level above Hillstarters, the list that Virginia McGregor, former Mayor Chris Doherty’s sister agreed to shoot for a couple of months ago.
Hillstarters members had to raise $27,000 in 30 days.
Not sure if Mrs. McGregor accomplished that, but she will get her chance to add to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign fund July 29 when she hosts a fundraiser for the prospective Democratic presidential nominee at her Green Ridge home.
