This is Nick Scott.
Nick Scott is fast.
See, you don’t need to work for ESPN to give a good film evaluation on a high school prospect.
All kidding aside, though, Scott became the second junior to commit to Penn State’s class of 2014 over the weekend. Watch his film below, and it’s easy to see why Penn State likes him so much. It’s his speed.
He’s 5-foot-11, 180 pounds right now, which means he can probably be a 6-foot, close-to-200-pound running back by the time he’s ready for prime time at Penn State. He’s also from Fairfax, Va., where high school football is no joke. And he looks like about the fastest guy on the field.
From what I’ve read, he doesn’t actually run the 40 in a super-elite time (the 4.5 range), but he’s one of those guys who might actually be faster than everyone else once the pads go on. Even better, he’s a smooth looking runner, who just looks like he’s going to be able to do anything Penn State asks him.
Now, there’s a lot of time between this moment and signing day next February. A lot can happen. But Scott looks like he can be a good one.
