Heads up, hikers! A storm is a brewin’ and you should pay attention to this. Hurricane Florence is on the way and it is predicted that it will bring high winds and heavy rains to parts of the Appalachian Trail, including and the Mid-Atlantic region. Don’t take chances with this kind of thing and check the Appalachian Trail Conservancy for updates if you are heading out into the woods.
Even if you are not on the AT, remember high winds and rain can bring down tree branches and flood rivers way quicker than you can imagine. Be careful out there.
