Time to check in on one of my favorite secret political action committees.

I’m talking about PA/FWD PAC, which I’ve also seen referred to as Pennsylvania Forward.

Former Luzerne County Democratic Party chairman Michael DeCosmo started it long ago. It takes donations then funnels them to favored candidates.

Who makes the decisions on which candidates get money nowadays remains a mystery to me, but the extra layer means a donor isn’t directly contributing to a candidate.

PA/FWD started 2019 with $57,488.77, took in another $38,098.77 in donations, spent $43,448.86 and had $52,138.68 left at the end of the year.

Here are its 2019 contributors:

March 15: Thompson #1 LLC, a company owned 50-50 by Louis and Dominick DeNaples, $5,000; William Rinaldi, self-employed, Scranton, $3,000; Al’s Q-Stop Management LLC, Dunmore, $250; 2500 East End Inc., Wilkes-Barre, $250.
