Everybody focuses on the Scranton mayor’s race and for good reason, but we still have a Lackawanna County commissioners race going on.
I know, sometimes it’s hard to tell.
Lots of factors influence a campaign’s outcome, but everyone knows Facebook has mattered more in recent years.
If you’re judging the county commissioner campaigns by their Facebook pages, then the Republicans have it all over the Democrats so far.
Look for yourself. Republican candidates Chris Chermak and Mike Giannetta’s Facebook page gets updated regularly, sometimes several times a day.
Debi Domenick and County Commissioner Jerry Notarianni’s Facebook page has three posts since Aug. 29 –– two featuring the candidates, one about their upcoming $50-a-person rally.
This may mean something, this may mean nothing, but candidates who dismiss the need for a vigorous internet presence risk losing a lot more than before.
