The RailRiders are International League North Division champions again.

For the third straight season, and ninth time in the last 12 years, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre won its division. A run like that is pretty much unheard of.

Here are some videos and photos of Monday night’s celebration.

The skipper

The closer

Nick Rumbelow picked up the save, allowing one hit and striking out two in 2.1 innings. He has a 0.64 ERA with the RailRiders this season.

The homers

Jake Cave and Cito Culver both hit home runs Monday night. Cave’s was a first-inning blast, his 15th of the season with the RailRiders and his 20th overall. He had 19 career home runs over five seasons heading into this year. His interview with the media was first interrupted by a Gatorade shower from RailRiders clubhouse attendant Justan Mitchell, then again when Eddy Rodridguez dumped an adult beverage over his head.

Culver hit his 12th home run of the season, a mammoth, two-run blast in the fourth inning that proved to be the difference in the game. Culver had 27 career home runs over seven seasons entering this year.
