Penn State has made some news lately for players looking to leave.
Here’s some news about a player jumping on board.
New Jersey defensive end Smith Vilbert verbally committed to the Nittany Lions today, giving Penn State its first verbal commitment in the class since 18 players signed letters of intent on the early signing day in December.
Vilbert is ranked as a three-star prospect by Rivals.com, 247sports.com and ESPN, but he did have some pretty good offers rolling in as the recruiting season went on. He wound up with offers from programs like Baylor, Nebraska, Oregon and Central Florida, to name a few.
He joins Adisa Isaac as the defensive ends in this group, so far.
