With lacrosse gaining in popularity and participation increases as Abington Heights and Lakeland officially add boys teams next spring, the time had come for The Times-Tribune Sports Staff to select its inaugural All-Region team.

This is a co-ed team that recognized 7 girls athletes, and 7 boys athletes who had outstanding seasons. There is a girls Player of the Year, Mandy Xu from Delaware Valley and a boys Player of the Year, Daniel Hinton of Scranton Prep. Only players from LIAA schools were eligible for the first All-Region team.
