When the solicitor bows out, you know the production is a real you-know-what show.

Times-Tribune Staff Writer Kathleen Bolus splashed a wake-up call to Old Forge taxpayers across today’s front page, reporting that district solicitor Joseph E. Mariotti finally cut ties with a school board he is personally and professionally embarrassed to be associated with.

I have the same problem. I recently moved to Old Forge, so in addition to writing snotty newspaper columns about this Dumpster fire of a school board, I have to help fund it, too. Read Kat’s story here and understand why I’d probably be better off burning my money.

Mariotti will be absent when the board meets today at 7 p.m. at the high school. I have to go. So does Kat Bolus. As a colleague and a taxpayer, I’m glad Kat is looking out for the students, parents and taxpayers of my district.

It would be great to see some of you at tonight’s you-know-what show.
