Originally devised to wean smokers off tobacco, vaping has become a growing industry built on its own terms of addiction. Among its primary targets are school-age kids who increasingly are caught vaping in class or elsewhere on school property. When the industry touts multiple lines of flavored fluids (“cotton candy” and “Gummi Bear” are two popular choices) with which to deliver a nicotine jolt, it’s obvious its preying on and hoping to hook a new and younger generation of customers on a product that, like tobacco, is harmful to their health.
