GOP State Senate President Pro-Tem Joe Scarnati is angry with the state supreme court. The court’s recent, historic ruling that Pennsylvania’s wildly gerrymandered congressional districts violated the state’s constitution apparently has upset the senator so much, that he’s decided he’ll ignore it. Scarnati and his buddies argue that the US Constitution grants state legislatures the right to draw the districts (even ones that flagrantly violate the constitutional notion of one-man-one-vote), and that the court should mind its own beeswax.
