Two more Lackawanna League teams advanced to the PIAA quarterfinals as Scranton Prep (Class 4A) girls and Holy Cross (Class 2A) boys posted wins.

It was an emotional loss for Abington Heights, which also lost senior standout Cassie Ksiazek, who suffered a head injury after hitting the floor very hard. It was emotional for the Lady Comets, still they played very hard against a very aggressive Harrisburg team.

There will be five teams still playing this weekend, including Abington Heights (Class 5A) boys, Susquehanna (Class 1A) boys and Dunmore (Class 3A) girls from Tuesday. That group will take the court on Friday.

  • GIRLS CLASS 3A: Dunmore vs. Imhotep Charter, Bethlehem Freedom HS, 7;30 p.m.
  • BOYS CLASS 1A: Susquehanna vs. Lourdes Regional, Wyoming Area HS, 7 p.m.
  • BOYS CLASS 5A: Abington Heights vs. Northeastern, Martz Hall in Pottsville, 7:30 p.m.
