Day 3 of the 2018 tour AROUND THE CAMPS started early as the Lackawanna Trail Lions get their heat acclimatization practices started as the fog and sun rises.

It’s always a good trip to Tunnel Hill and a football experience with coach Steve Jervis. He is a former Lafayette College player, any many of you know. The Lions are coming off a good season, but one where they lost in the District 2 Class 1A final to Old Forge. They have several players returning including running back Jordan Edwards.

Then, the trip headed north to Susquehanna. A quick shower welcomed me, but then the sun came out and the heat rose for the players. Again, always a good visit when you can chat a little football and some great football history with now Hall of Fame coach Dick Bagnall.

The Sabers, like Lackawanna Trail, have a lot of players returning from last season. Both Lackawanna Trail and Susquehanna are members of the new Lackawanna Football Conference Division IV.
